On Friday, President Trump signed the executive order "Protection of the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States,” disallowing Syrian refugees from coming into the US, suspending the refugee program for 120 months, and barring immigrants and visitors from majority-Muslim countries Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the US for at least 90 days. Neither the University Democrats nor the College Republicans condone the executive order, as we believe it is not in keeping with the values upon which our nation was founded.
